Ceremonies List Ayodhya Ram Temple: 16th January to 22nd January

From January 16th to January 22nd, Ayodhya Ram Temple has a special schedule of important ceremonies. These events are really meaningful for people who believe in Lord Ram.

16th January:

The Temple trust will appoint someone to lead a special ceremony to make things right. There will be a ‘Dashvidh’ ritual bath along the Saryu River. During this time, people would worship Lord Vishnu and execute a Godan ritual.

17th January:

People will carry the idol of young Lord Ram (called Ram Lalla) in a parade. During this, devotees will hold containers filled with water from the Saryu River, and these containers are called Mangal Kalash.

18th January:

During the ceremonies will perform rituals like Ganesh Ambika Puja, Varun Puja, Matrika Puja, Brahmin Varan, and Vastu Puja.

19th January:

They will do Agni “Sthapana”, “Navagraha Sthapana”, and “Havan”.

20th January:

The main part of the Ram Temple will be cleaned with the holy water from the Saryu River. After that, there will be some special rituals, like Vaastu Shanti and Annadhiva

21st January:

Ram Lalla, the particular idol, will be bathed in 125 urns. There will also be a unique rite known as Shayadhivas.

They will worship the idol of Ram Lalla in the morning, and in the afternoon, they will consecrate it during the Mrigashira Nakshatra.
