Ram Ki Paidi is a ghat (river bank) with a series of steps leading down to the Sarayu river in Ayodhya.

It is located along the banks of Sarayu river and is one of the most famous ghats in Ayodhya.

The ghat has over 100 steps built of sandstone slabs and decorated with intricate carvings.

Each step is said to represent one year of Lord Rama’s reign.

It is believed to be the place where Lord Rama stepped onto land after returning from Lanka. Hence it is considered a sacred spot for Hindus.

In the evenings, the steps are lit up with earthen lamps and the ghat comes alive with Ganga Aarti attended by hundreds of devotees.

The ghat was built by the ruler of Awadh, Nawab Asaf-Ud-Daula in 1750 AD.

Key attractions nearby include Hanuman Garhi, Kanak Bhawan Temple, Nageshwarnath Temple etc.

Ram Ki Paidi sees thousands of devotees and tourists every year, especially during festive occasions like Ram Navami.
