Significance:
- A historic and joyous occasion for Hindus worldwide
- Culmination of a long cherished dream of having a grand Ram temple at Lord Ram’s birthplace in Ayodhya
Acharyas and prominent people from over 150 different Hindu traditions, sects and spiritual schools will attend the ceremony. These include Mahamandaleshwars, Mandaleshwars, Mahants, Nagas, ascetics, tribals and islanders.
For the first time, people from remote communities like mountains, forests, coastal areas and islands will participate together in such a ceremony. It will be unique.
People from Shaiva, Vaishnava, Shakta, Ganapatya and many other traditions will attend. These include – Ramanandi, Madhva, Varkari, Akali, Radhaswami, ISKCON, Chinmaya Mission among many others from across India.
Darshan and Celebrations:
After the installation ceremony, all dignitaries will have darshan of Lord Rama. There is great enthusiasm everywhere to celebrate this special occasion.
It has been decided to celebrate the Pran Pratishtha across India including in Ayodhya.
Before the event, people from different states are continuously arriving in Ayodhya with water, soil, gold, silver, gems, clothes, jewelry, large bells, drums etc as offerings.
Noteworthy gifts include traditional wedding gifts (bhaaras) sent by Janakpur (Nepal) and Sitamarhi (Bihar), considered maternal homes of Goddess Sita.
Jewelry and other gifts have also been sent from Raipur region, regarded as Lord Rama’s maternal home in Dandakaranya.
